Spiritual wisdom is trans-religious, trans-cultural and trans-national. It is not confined either to the Abrahamic traditions pervading the West or the Indian traditions dominant in the East. How we live, what we aspire for, what we believe or imagine will happen to us when we die and all other important aspects of our life are influenced by our cultural background willingly and intentionally or unwillingly and unknowingly. In our contemporary world there are increasing cross-cultural interactions, very much influenced by technological developments enhancing travels and communication. How do we interact with and learn from the insights of the great seers in other cultures?
Meeting Dates: 2nd Saturday of each month
We can all bear witness to the fact that the world we live in is in a state of crisis. We see this clearly in all areas of our inner and outer life, from our innermost fears and neuroses through to environmental devastation and war. How does all this arise? Could it all be at root a consequence of a profound malaise within us?

Kabir Saxena, a Buddhist instructor and mentor, was attracted to Buddhism and found solace in it. His Guru, Lama Yeshe, asked him to return to India in 1983 and start a centre in Bodh Gaya. In his lectures, he combines the wisdom of different schools of Buddhism, ancient texts and contemporary practices and guides how to assimilate them in various aspects of our daily lives. Kabir ji’s way of sharing his knowledge is conversational, anecdotal and sprinkled with an understated sense of humour.
We would love to hear from you!
