We are three-dimensional beings, governed by gravity and also our attention to space. We can shorten or lengthen, narrow or widen, flatten, or expand. As we think about space inside us, we can change our relation of body parts to the whole of ourselves, and this can affect our impressions of ourselves, our breathing, and how we move or sustain any position. As we expand our attention to include both the self and our surroundings, we can feel better, move better, balance better, and become more present.
